Quick Status Update (Next week will be bigger. We are currently finalizing a premium plan, so I'm holding off on marketing. All "Next Steps" from last week are on hold until then!)

  • Product: Shipped custom intake forms and a bunch of other features.
  • The Twilio Saga: Still waiting on the dedicated phone feature to be ready before I start marketing. Fck Twilio verification is so fcking cancer when you're trying to use the phone for not only 2-way messaging, notifications, and reminders, but MARKETING. It's like trying to bathe a cat.. they fcking hate when you try to use it for marketing (so hard to get verified).
  • Growth: Averaging 1 new salon joining daily through word-of-mouth. They are migrating their entire operations without even needing a demo, so that's cool.
  • Revenue: Sitting at only ~$50 MRR for now.

Next up: Launching the premium plan and starting heavy marketing (hopefully next week). Stay tuned!

  • Sales & Operations: Conducted several product demos and managed data exports.
  • Logistics & Cross-Promotion: Started including Woofix cards in all Mad Dogs physical orders.
  • Networking: Promoted Woofix to ~25 pet groomers at a local industry dinner, which also provided solid social media content.

Next Steps

  • Direct Mail: Send Woofix/Mad Dogs postcards to physical storefronts (Cost: $1.50/ea).
  • Paid Ads: Launch Facebook marketing at $25/day, localized strictly to Quebec.
  • Community Growth: Automate and optimize promotional posts in niche Facebook groups (where self-promo is allowed).
  • Conversion Optimization: Add social proof and case studies to the site. Set up automated email workflows.
  • Email Marketing: Initiate regular bulk email campaigns to the existing Mad Dogs client list.

Update: Automated Phone Numbers & Market Expansion

New Features & Beta:

  • Industry First: Fully automated dedicated phone number generation. Users claim their own numbers instantly with zero manual configuration required.
  • Unlocks: 2-way messaging, custom SMS templates, and upcoming SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Platform Upgrades: Added a lot of new small features and overall enhancements across every single section of the software.
  • Status: Currently in beta (looking for a couple of testers) alongside a bunch of new automated SMS features.

Market Strategy:

  • The Push: Launching a heavy marketing campaign in Quebec and Canada after patiently refining the product for local dominance.
  • The Edge: A much better option than free generic tools like Square (since it's strictly groomer-specific) and far superior to expensive groomer-specific local software.

Enterprise Growth: The MoeGo Challenge:

  • The Win: Highly optimized booking flow, calendar, and staff scheduling—already outperforming MoeGo's flow.
  • The Gap: Not quite at MoeGo's overall feature level yet, but a surprisingly close and vastly superior choice for users who don't need the extra bloat.

Current Focus: Scaling hard locally in Canada/Quebec, finalizing the SMS beta testing, and building out features in parallel to fully rival huge US giants like MoeGo.
