1. Onboarding and first impressions are really really important. Think through your user experience
2. You can utilize your coding agent to do QA testing for you and raise issues

🔄 We're Building What We Said We Wouldn't

When we started DoThisTask, our thesis was simple: be the best way to get full value from your existing AI subscriptions. We built a browser extension that works across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Grok. No new platform to learn – just better prompts injected where you already work.

Turns out, we were wrong about something important.

📊 The Data Spoke

We kept hearing the same feedback: the off-platform friction was too high. Users loved discovering agents in our hub, but the jump to another tab, another interface, another context... it added up.

So we're pivoting.

🚀 What's Changing

We're building an in-app agent runner. Yes, the thing we deliberately avoided is now becoming core to the product.

Our vision has evolved from "get more from your AI subscriptions" to "your ultimate AI buddy for business." And that means meeting users where friction is lowest – inside our own platform.

💡 The Upside We Didn't Expect

Owning the runtime unlocks something we couldn't do before: better context management. When conversations happen on our platform, we can extract valuable context to make agents smarter over time.

The lesson? Listen to your users, even when they're telling you to abandon your original thesis.

We Made AI Simple... By Making DoThisTaskAI Simpler

We'll be honest with you - we set out to build a tool that helps people who are new to AI. But somewhere along the way, we built something more complicated than ChatGPT or Claude themselves.

That's backwards. So we fixed it.

These lessons are really obvious and already very popular in the founder community, but we really got stuck just building more and more features instead of making a simple product that our users would like. I wish I had more insights in this post to give value to yall, but this one is simple: release quicker and iterate on feedback as often as possible.

🎨 Fresh New Look

We completely refactored our visual design to stand out from the sea of AI-generated websites. Big shoutout to <@1287939828511412285> for leading this one.

🧹 Simplified Features

• Removed the agent builder flow entirely
• Now focused on two things: context management and expert management
• That's it. No clutter.

🗣️ New Language

Our users aren't AI engineers — so we stopped talking like they are.

• "Agents" → "Experts"
• Hidden the technical jargon from the UI
• Everything is clearer and more approachable
