I'm quite happy to see that AI Stack is gaining some traction. More people are sharing their stacks and I added some new functions as preparations for the next big update.
Growing Strategy
I'm part of a few other Discord communities, mostly for builders like us. That was my main source of getting people interested.
I also joined Threads and Bluesky and am now crossposting my X posts. I'm using their schedule functionality so that the posts appear with 1 and 2 hours delay.
I'm listening to all feedback and prioritize that before I add anything from my own list.
I have a Discord that is only talking about AI setups and news which is also a nice source of inspiration. Join it if you're interested: https://discord.gg/5y4fpyahaF
My AI Stack
I was a huge advocate of Windsurf. Told Cursor fans to try it. Even held a talk about its great credit system at a local AI meetup.
But then they changed their pricing overnight. Would be a good one if it would have been today (1st of April) - but they really meant it. Their USP being destroyed, I completely pivoted my own stack to VSCode + Claude Code.
See more details about that on my stack page: https://aistack.to/stacks/alper-ortac-unw0sl
Upcoming
Two big things are coming.
(1)
A knowledge base called the Hub on AI stack. The articles will be nothing like anything you saw before. not a wall of text, but pure knowledge condensed to the bare essentials, interactive tools and examples for learning it quickly and links to resources for those who want to dive deeper.
(2)
A CLI tool to collect, share and clone AI related configuration. Stores them in your AI Stack profile, you can share them with other builders, and they can choose to use your stack (or parts of it) in their own projects.
Stay tuned!
